Marsanne comes from southern France and is best known as parts of blends. In Napa and Sonoma, it often shows up alongside other Rhône-style whites, offering a body and warmth rather than bright citrus. You’ll often see it blended with another grape called Roussanne, but some wineries bottle it on its own. When you taste Marsanne, expect a mellow white wine that leans more toward texture than sharp acidity.
